Will you meet me at mikes?

I bought one of my best friends Wendy (See her blog at www.wackywendywoo.blogspot.com) a fantastic little crafts book for christmas. Unfortunately there was a big delay on deliverey due to bad weather, however I received a lovely little message from her to tell me it had arrived! I hope you really enjoy making some of their fabulous things.

1 down 7 to go....

For Australia day we drove to Thredbo and walked to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko.
Its nestled in the Snowy Mountains / Great diving range at Kosciuszko National Park. The summit is 2,228 metres above sea level, and it's the highest mountain in Australia. We caught the chair lift up to the first point (its not cheating...its too steep to walk the first section) then walked the 13km return to the summit.
It was THE most beautiful day, sunny, but windy...which kept us cool (although a little sun 'touched' afterwards)

One of the seven summits in the world... next Mount Kilimanjaro?!

With a soundtrack of David Bowie

I had a fantastic time in Adelaide with Mark this weekend. We visited the central market and stocked up on some goodies, then headed to the park, had a relaxing time on a paddle boat (followed by black swans...very fitting with the new film coming out!) and a lovely picnic in the botantical gardens. After a great meal and some wine we headed to the moonlight cinema to watch 'The social network' By the time the film ended the moon had risen (nearly a full moon too) and we it was right above the cinema screen!
